RULES & REGULATIONS v1. AGREEMENT BETWEEN TEAM LEADER/PRODUCER AND THE 50 HOUR FILM COMPETITION. This rule statement originally dated June 1, 2013 is to confirm the Non-citable, Non-precedent, Without Prejudice agreement between LEFT (The 50 Hour Film Competition) and the Team Leader/Producer (The Team) for 2015. 1. The Team certifies that all creative work including writing, shooting, editing, and building costumes/props was performed solely within the 50 hours of the competition and not before 7pm local time. 2. If the team leader/producer is under 18, a parent or guardian must represent The Team on all forms and signatures without exception. All supplied documents must be signed and dated. 3. Any material submitted by The Team must not be considered racist, pornographic or political propaganda. 4. The Team gives permission for their film to be screened at the Lost Episode Festival Toronto, on the 50 Hour Film Competition YouTube channel, and included in the 2015 DVD. 5. The Team understands and agrees that breaking any of the guidelines set forth in this agreement disqualifies them from competition and the potential to win any and all prizes/awards. 7. The Team understands that no fees associated with The 50 Hour Film Competition are refundable. 8. The Team will not use any location/music/art without the owner/copyright holders explicit permission. 9. The Team will not post/share their film anywhere publicly until after August 11, 2015. 10. The Team will comply with all local laws and regulations during the competition. 11. The Team hereby agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The 50 Hour Film Competition, its owners, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, licensees, partners and assigns. In no event shall the 50 Hour Film Competition, its owners, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, licensees, partners and assigns be liable for any damages whatsoever without limitation. 12. The Team hereby irrevocably grants The 50 Hour Film Competition the right to incorporate any submitted material, and any portions or images contained therein, in whole or in part in any manner, as well as photographs taken during event, and to use and exploit this material in all media, versions and forms, whether now known or hereafter devised, in all languages, throughout the universe, in perpetuity, including, without limitation, television, the Internet, DVD, books, merchandise and all ancillary exploitation, and in any advertising, publicity or promotion. 13. The Team represents and warrants that the undersigned has all rights and authority to enter into this agreement and to grant the rights herein. TICKETS: Tickets are non-refundable. No free tickets are provided to any team. PRIZES GUIDELINES. Any & all prizes may be withdrawn at any time by sponsors or the festival for any reason whatsoever. If prizes are restricted by law in the place you legally reside, any prize is forfeit. The Audience Choice cash award can only be claimed by the team leader whom must attend the awards portion of the festival in person, otherwise the prize is forfeit. No prize is guaranteed in any way, and should be considered a bonus to the competition. Gift bags are not guaranteed, but often one will be provided to the team leader as a thank you. When shipping of prizes is involved, the prize winner must pay the shipping cost or forfeit the prize. Alcohol will never be provided as a prize, but staff of the festival may offer to buy you a beer because they are nice. Questions & Disputes MUST be settled prior to registering a team.
